This  1949 utility building was the first automatic telephone exchange in Queensland. In 1976 its function was usurped by its adjacent but  “famously unattractive” 22-story concrete cousin. Today, the telephone exchange is transformed into a stylish complex boasting modern apartments and commercial tenancies.

Getting there

Located opposite the Gabba Stadium, along Vulture Street, with public car parking spaces in the surrounding streets. Public Transport options through Main Street and Woolloongabba station provide a short few-minute walk from the station to the location.
