2025 Anywhere Festival Moreton Bay Program Revealed!
Welcome to Anywhere Festival Moreton Bay, a program of entertaining and imaginative performances that pop up in all kinds of local businesses and community places across our beautiful city from 8 – 25 May 2025.
This year’s program features talented local performers from City of Moreton Bay and beyond, bringing you inventive theatre, interactive comedy, immersive cabaret, storytelling, music, contortion, and dance.
By attending one (or more) of the shows in this year’s festival, you are supporting performing artists, and local businesses, and keeping your travel costs down by staying local in City of Moreton Bay.
Immerse yourself in theatrical worlds with Shoggoth’s Old Peculiar, a jaunty horror-folk cabaret with songs of monsters, madness, and murder. In Bawdy Tales & Critical Fails: A Role Play Adventure audience members roll the dice to trigger different tales of love, lust, and lamentation.
Calling all comedy fans to come sleuth your way through an immersive, improvised whodunnit with Murder at the Bowlo! Or air your grievances in public at This is Your Trial, where ordinary people bring their petty grievances to ‘court.’ Beans Means Love follows a whacky couple as they fall in love over a can of beans.
Through physical theatre and multilingual storytelling, Identity dives into the heart of what it means to belong. Couples Therapy is a light-hearted show about the ups and downs of marriage. Through poetry, music and projection, Crossroads: my stories of Balibo takes you on a family’s journey after the murder of a beloved brother and son.
We’ve got a fantastic range of musical storytelling. The Garage Band transports us to an alternate universe where The Beatles never made it big. In Painting Melody contemporary visual art melts into song. Confessions of a Funeral Singer offers a humorous and tender musical journey through a funeral singer’s catalogue.
There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy with three kid-friendly shows programmed back-to-back. Start the morning with The Amazing Bubble Show and follow up with Jaws: For Kids! where the blockbuster movie about a deadly shark is hilariously reinterpreted. Then enjoy Too Twisted with dancers and reality-bending contortionists. Finish the festival on a high with Limelight, the annual showcase of City of Moreton Bay’s creative talent.
In addition to the ticketed program, Anywhere Festival also offers three daytime activations every Saturday in various parts of City of Moreton Bay for you, your family, and friends to enjoy. Best of all these community events are free to attend!
