The wait is over…

“Wait for It!” is the silly clown extravaganza you’ve been waiting for! Making its Anywhere Festival premiere “Wait for It” made its debut in the 2023 Freshblood Festival. The show explores the universal and existential practice of waiting for something using silliness, humour and clowning.

Written and directed by Joel Burgess and inspired by the classic play: “Waiting for Godot”, “Wait for It!“ follows three clowns and a broom waiting for the show to begin. What if it doesn’t begin? What will they do? What happens when the show is supposed to end? Will they end? Who knows? One thing is for sure: we ARE going to wait around to find out!

“Wait for It!” is made up of a cast of three wonderfully funny clowns: Cheezy, played by Sam Connolly, Fantasia, played by Tai Kane-Potaka, and our newest clown Hotcakes, played by Stephanie Bailey. The show is also supported by writer and director Joel Burgess, stage manager Tara Kenn and creative assistants Grace Lashbrook and Elaina Mullins.
