Profile – Jarrod Tutbury

Jarrod Tutbury is an experienced pianist, writer and journalist based in Noosa/Sunshine Coast.

After forming Ampersand in 202, he has focussed his music journey on managing, composing and performing with the band. With 17 years playing contemporary keyboards under his belt, he values supporting young emerging musicians and thinking outside the box in the music industry. 

Alongside programming music at local events and contributing to local publications, Jarrod is pursuing a career in journalism.

Due to the visionary support of the Sunshine Coast Council Creative Industries Investment Program, Anywhere Festivals is thrilled to announce Jarrod Tutbury as one of the creatives Supported by Anywhere Festivals—a groundbreaking new initiative designed to elevate creative work beyond the conventional.

Why being part of Supported by Anywhere Festivals is important to your project

“I have several goals for this project. First and foremost, supporting local musicians and providing employment and career advancement for them. Second, providing young emerging local artists a platform to grow their audience. Third, engaging the local community in their local music scene in an iconic space. Fourth, encourage creativity and community with something fun and family friendly, the sandcastle competition. I am also slowly building up own capacity and experience as an event organiser and this smaller scale event would provide me with an opportunity to improve my portfolio. I do not have the resources to pull this off on my own easily though.” – Jarrod Tutbury
