Invitation to Party with a Space Billionaire

Caligula was the first Roman Emperor to declare himself a living god; The Space Billionaire hasn’t quite come out and said it yet. But why should he?

The Space Billionaire’s got more dollars than the Earth’s got years. He’s planning to take humanity, well, out of this world.

Wanna know more? Come and join the fun! This is your invitation to the Spaceship Toga Party.

Spaceship Toga Party comes to Anywhere Festival from Adelaide for 3 days at 3 different Brisbane venues. Be part of a night of music and cabaret exploring themes of space colonisation, alienation from technology and parallels between Ancient Rome and our current decadence.

Each event will be unique and include a solo act as opener before members of ‘The Songs of Tom Smith’ collective perform the rock opera Spaceship Toga Party. A final act will close out the evening and get the audience up and dancing:

July 19, 7 to 10pm @ Banshees, Ipswich:
Dino L’amour, The Songs of Tom Smith, Blue Tac

July 20, 7 to 10pm @ Junk Bar, Ashgrove:
Luggage, The Songs of Tom Smith, The Amazing The

July 21, 3 to 6pm @ Shirley’s Place, Yeerongpilly:
Andy Paine, The Songs of Tom Smith, Orlando Furious.

The Songs of Tom Smith is a recording and performance project Tom created in 2014 with a large pool of musicians across Australian cities Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide

His modus operandi is to create a set of songs for a character, choose an appropriate musical genre, create a show and document the songs on an album.  Live performances recently have seen him showcase characters such as The Dandy at the End of the World, The Camp Cowboy Preacher and the Rock n Roll Rooster.
