Stretch-of-the-Imagination

A Stretch of the Imagination by Jack Hibberd

Presented by 3bCreative

'Monk" O'Neill is on a downhill slide and is approaching terminal velocity..."

Monk O’Neill played by the outstanding James Patrick Reed, is grappling with ghosts –time is running out. His brain is afire as he revisits and tries to make sense of or explain, justify, lie, tell the stories he pulls from his memories (are they real?)

He needs none of the niceties of ordinary speech, having no one to communicate with but himself… and the ghosts. Things unresolved…he reflects and reveals. Confronting, funny – a masterclass in performance.

Monk is a contradictory man – crass and poetic, biased and enlightened, awaiting yet actively rejecting his final sunset. His monodrama is a dust storm of Hibberd’s stream of consciousness writing presented in a series of proclamations and dreams, statements, half-finished sentences.

Be prepared for Monk’s uncompromising language and pronouncements!
