Perform anywhere but a theatre – backyards, lounge rooms, pools, mazes,  cafes, galleries, libraries, streets on the Sunshine Coast and Noosa 29 Apr – 8 May, Brisbane 5 – 22 May and across the Moreton Bay region 14 May – 5 June 2022.

Anywhere Festival is for performance makers who wants to take a creative risk without the financial risks: from solo musicians to established arts companies.

Expressions of Interest opened midday 20 November and will be evaluated as they arrive until the festival is full of really cool ideas or by 15 December, whichever happens first. The 2022 Anywhere Festival will be capped to ensure every show involved has the best chance of finding and filling their audiences.

Expressions of interest can be for any genre – circus, theatre, dance, music, comedy, performance art, workshop, walking tour, immersive, escape room.

We are keen to see ideas that are site specific through to performances that can be put on in different regions.

What we provide: on average over $7,025 of support through local specific print and online program and marketing that in 2021 was responsible for 48% of ticket sales, creative development support, industry and local networks, Anywhere Awards eligibility, permitting for public spaces, tools and access to the broader festival along with providing or assisting to secure rent free non traditional performance spaces.

There is no cost to express interest and you can enter more than one idea or talk to us first about your ideas. 

The Expression of Interest process is simple:

1. Apply at this link. 
2. Within days we either invite you to the festival, ask more questions make suggestions to re apply. 
3. you then have until mid February (dates vary by region) to work with us to confirm all details for the program.

Main Festival and Off Anywhere

In 2022 you can apply for the Main Festival or Off Anywhere. The Main festival is what you know and love – you receive all the support .

“Off Anywhere” is a new initiative as a response to people who want to access parts of Anywhere, particularly for one off music gigs in backyards and nooks and crannies, works in progress and people wanting to connect and leverage the festival in a region that isn’t Brisbane, Morton Bay, Sunshine Coast or Noosa.
