An attempted robbery at a Teneriffe apartment goes horribly wrong when the burglar is interrupted by the return of the owner and his mistress. Things turn from bad to worse when their respective spouses arrive, along with the burglar’s zany wife. As the night explodes into tales of betrayal, adultery, and accusations of polyamory, the only one left ‘innocent’ is the confused burglar.
Written by Nobel Prize Winner, Dario Fo, this hilarious farce has been adapted into a new contemporary style set in Brisbane where gender politics and class are at that centre of this wild farce.
Directed by Heidi Gledhill, founder of Room To Play and produced and presented by Xth Act, a newly formed production company created by a group of actors from The Australian Performing Arts Conservatory.
This madcap show will be taking place at the old JoJo’s restaurant on Melbourne Street in South Brisbane and will run over the course of 6 nights from Thursday May 5th running through to Saturday May 14th.
