Pot Luck Poetry – Featured Artist : Kristina Lakic

Kristina Lakic, whilst relatively new to the poetry scene, has discovered a newfound passion for writing and speaking from the heart. Focusing on themes of heartbreak, loss and suffering, laced with messages of healing and hope, she explores the magic, despair and tragedy in life. Her first book ‘Pervasive’ is a collection of poems describing her experiences of sexual assault, harassment and rape, exploring the devastating impact that these experiences have on victims and societal discourses surrounding this topic. Her second book ‘Sorrow’ details her experiences of love, intimacy and the pain in losing the one closest to you. Kristina is currently in the process of completing her third book ‘Grave’, reflecting on mental health experiences.

Kristina has had the opportunity to share her writing with those around her through her books as well as taking part in slam poetry with the hope to shine a light on these areas of life and to help even one person feel less alone on their experiences.
