EDNA-GY
You live. You die. And you’re not even worth $10.
Part of the 2025 Anywhere Festival, Brisbane QLD | 24th – 26th July 2025
What happens when you’re disappointed in your life and your death?
Eleanor is for sale at an op-shop – her urn priced, unfairly, at $9.95. Trapped in the Halloween costume she died in, Eleanor reflects on her life, her death, and the stranger who jokes she “looks like an Edna.”
EDNA-GY is Fleabag in limbo – a darkly funny one-woman show about legacy, loneliness and the tragedy of being forgotten.
Originally developed as a short-form monologue in La Boite Theatre’s 2024 Assembly Program, EDNA-GY premieres as a fully-fledged play in the 2025 Anywhere Festival, presented by independent creatives Kathryn Collins, Grace Lofting, Griffin Walsh and Sophie Wickes.
“At its core, EDNA-GY is about something really simple and really human: the need to be seen.” – Sophie Wickes, playwright.
