Marina Poša is a powerhouse Brisbane-based mezzo-soprano, fearless storyteller, and creative force. She returns to Anywhere Festival after a sold-out 2024 performance! Blazing her own trail beyond traditional classical singing, Marina transforms art song through film, spoken word, and rich storytelling — shifting effortlessly between comedian, dramatist, and entertainer.
Her debut show, El Vito!, and her acclaimed production I am Maria! reimagined classical performance as something raw, multicultural, and deeply human.
Now, Conversations with Maria! returns to Anywhere Festival 2025, promising another evening of laughter, unpredictability, and unforgettable moments.
Recently accepted into the prestigious Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Marina continues her mission to reclaim and amplify women’s stories in classical music.
Recognised as an Artist in Residence at Hayward Street Theatre, an SSI Delegate at AWMA, and through RPAC’s Passage Program for the development of new work, Marina is a bold voice reshaping the landscape of performance art — one powerful story at a time.
