A Sweet Tooth for Justice: Threepence Theatre Presents The Cupcake Killer

Part of the 2025 Anywhere Festival Brisbane, 17th July until 3rd of August

Brisbane, QLD — What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?

Threepence Theatre Productions proudly presents The Cupcake Killer, a darkly comic
vigilante tale baked to perfection by writer and performer Rebecca Love. Directed by Enikő
Halász, this deliciously twisted new play will debut at Kurilpa Hall in West End as part of the
2025 Anywhere Festival Brisbane.

In a world where too much goes unpunished, Cindy Klift (played by Rebecca Love) takes justice into her own hands—armed with a whisk, a frosting knife, and an unwavering moral code. Alongside her loyal protégé (Beth Docherty), The Cupcake Killer delivers a rich blend of crime, comedy, and confection.

“Morally complex, bitingly funny, and unexpectedly moving—The Cupcake Killer is unlike
anything you’ve tasted before,”
says director Enikő Halász.
