Eco-Warrior: A Climate Cabaret

There’s a lot to look forward to with this one. Tap dancing, saxophone playing (surely that’s enough already!?), ukulele, loop pedals and singing too. Good luck Hannah! I love a good cabaret. Not only does Eco-Warrior have a lot of punch, it’s also deeply about the climate crisis and perfectly located at The Wilderness Society offices in South Brisbane. Read more:

I find Whistling Past The Graveyard really charming. What a neat concept and combination of stories and song. Being in a cemetery, it’s probably not for the faint hearted, but these lovely people will definitely look after you. Read more:

On a lovely autumn afternoon in May among the old stone monuments, two talented raconteurs will share fascinating reflections about funerals and the end of life.

In Whistling Past the Graveyard, Doctor Leah Cotterell and Mistress Narelle McCoy will draw from their written memoirs and academic research to look at the best and worst of funerals, from the sad to the sublime and the uplifting. The musical materials will be as eclectic as the subject matter, ranging from classical and folk song to emblematic pop songs and of course, together we will sing ‘Amazing Grace’. These wonderfully eclectic singing stylists will be accompanied by the world-class talents of Jamie Clark (guitar) and Luke Moller (Irish fiddle).
