Review by Rebecca Lynne of “This Way For A Fireside Chat With Lucifer” presented by Lightning Bolt Creative
Are you prepared to dance with a devil in the pale moonlight? How about spend 7 minutes in Hell with Lucifer? Be sure to make an appointment, as they’re in HOT demand!

An experience that is more than what meets the eye, Lighting Bolt Collective has produced a 7-minute one-on-one improv show with a code breaking scavenger hunt to follow. This quirky encounter taking place in Fish Lane features a cast of sly-talking devil underlings and their very persuasive boss. Before the experience even begins, a group of charming fellows are luring curious wanderers and unsuspecting bar hoppers into signing up to enter Lucifer’s domain.
While you wait for your appointment spectators are entertained by the poking and prodding questioning of the sideshow devils. Perhaps charming Keith will keep you company while you wait, or the enigmatic Vicky could share a bit of banter with you. Each devil has a quirky, charming, and perhaps mysteriously sinister personality to uncover.
Played by the wonderfully sassy Brittany Hetherington, Lucifer is a devilishly delightful character that will say anything to win you over. With superb observation skills paired with a very quick-wit, Hetherington smoothly guides the conversation to persuade you to sign on the dotted line… Is it politics that matters to you? They’ll make sure to swing the votes in your favour and get -insert politician name here- into power! Just sign your name here and don’t worry about the Latin! Walk out with a receipt – the first clue – wondering what you just agreed to. Those without knowledge of the dead language can decipher the next step with the handy help of the internet.
Verdict: Tread carefully down a suspicious looking alleyway, enter a mysterious tent, and take a seat with the delightfully devious big boss of Hell.
Audience Information: Season is now over. Hopefully they will reignite the fireside chat next year and you’ll have another chance to meet Lucifer and their devious devils.
