Unveiling the Invisible: ‘The Weight We Wear’ Dance-Theatre Performance

On Thursday, June 5, 2025, Frankx Studio in Warana, Queensland, will host The Weight We Wear, a poignant dance-theatre performance that delves into the often unseen realms of human emotion. 

This evocative piece brings to light personal narratives of anxiety, isolation, resilience, and hope, offering a space for reflection and connection.

Performed by Micaela Valerio and Maria Florencia Giuliani, with music produced by Chucho Bruno, the performance is inspired by anonymously shared stories from the local community. 

Attendees are invited to arrive early to experience the soulful sounds of Chucho Bruno live. Following the performance, there will be an awareness talk and a vibrant art exhibition featuring local talent.

Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the performance commencing promptly at 6:45 PM. Please note that doors will close at the start of the performance to maintain an immersive environment. This is an alcohol-free event to support an intentional, grounded atmosphere. Ticket holders will receive a complimentary hot drink.

The Weight We Wear is supported by Anywhere Festivals thanks to the Creative Industry Investment Program funded by SUinhine Coast Council. 

The event acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Gubbi Gubbi people, paying respect to their Elders past and present.
