Madcouch Productions, the creative offshoot of The View From Madeleine’s Couch co-founders Anje West and Kym Ambrose, have devised, presented and produced shows in five Anywhere Festival seasons, selling out shows at Australian Modern, where the Bossa Nova Sunset Club concept was born, and branching out into presenting other artists at home in their fabulous tiny backyard tiki bar, the Wawahine Lounge.

All of the shows devised for Anywhere Festival have gone on to feature and sell out houses for the Queensland Cabaret Festival, Brisbane City Hall, and The Brisbane Powerhouse.

With the focus on giving audiences a unique, intimate experience, this year sees the winter shows coming inside to The Parlour, for seated house-concerts in a warm and cozy art-filled space.

Anje West is a singer with over 35 years of performance experience, and most well known for her work with her award-winning band, The View From Madeleine’s Couch. She is also a Women in Voice alumni, sang with the legendary a’capella group The Flannelettes for ten years and toured nationally for Musica Viva in Schools for 14 years. She is one of Brisbane’s warmest and most engaging performers.
