Here’s some of the weirdest shows, strangest performance locations and the combinations that beggar belief at the 2019 Anywhere Festival in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Noosa this 9 – 26 May 2019.
This is just a selection of the nearly 500 performances of circus, comedy, theatre, immersive, walking tours, music, cabaret, poetry, magic and story telling in Brisbane and Sunshine Coasts biggest and must beguiling festival of independent performances.

TRANSPORT – Boats, ships, buses and feet
We have a huge first, with Canadian Company Talk is Free Theatre presenting the show they sold out around Canada exclusively in Brisbane for Anywhere Festival – TALES OF AN URBAN INDIAN – on a city bus.
RUCKUS PRESENTS… NAUTICAL BUT NICE at the Maritime Museum. Not just anywhere though, it will be held underneath the hull of the HMAS Diamantina inside the dry dock.

THE SMOOTH END OF THE PINEAPPLE bring sketch comedy back in the format of an old style radio show while THE RADIOPLAY HOURS brings LITTLE WOMEN and the THE COFFIN IN STUDIO B to Glass House Mountains and Spring Hill.Boggo Road Gaol becomes the space for BOUNDLESS REFLECTIONS and HAVE I NONE, presenting a dystopian future.
