Don’t let the name confuse you – there’s nothing trashy about The Junk Bar.
The JB is one of Brisbane’s first and finest hole-in-the-wall small independent venues. With vinyl records playing in the front bar and live music in the back room, the atmosphere is intimate, relaxed and organic. Our audiences have come to expect good sound at a sensible volume, safe in the knowledge that even if they havent heard of a particular artist on a poster in the window, they are going to hear something to enjoy. Emerging and established musicians love the care they recieve here from our roster of experienced sound engineers.
Once inside settle in to the comfort of the bar’s vintage couches with a drink, soundtracked by a classic vinyl selection hand picked by our bar staff. The records are .. we promise .. not terrible! We’re famous for our delicious, hand delivered cocktails and the relaxed, retro vibe. The Junk Bar feels like home .. a family you can actually handle.
