Archerfield Airport Terminal is hosting performances in the airport’s Departure Lounge as part of the 2024 Anywhere Festival, a beautiful space where you can watch the sunset and aeroplanes coming in and out.

Established in the early 1930s this venue has a rich history, it was utilised throughout World War II by the Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Netherlands Air Force, United States Army Air Forces and Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm. Since 1998 the site has been privately owned and operates as Brisbane’s secondary airport where you may spot vintage aeroplanes passing through from time to time.

 

Getting There

This location is just 11kms from Brisbane CBD, with free parking available on-site with a limit of 12 hours, public transport is also available with a nearby bus stop just a 4-minute walk from the venue.

 

What You’ll Find There

You’ll findan Aviation shop on site where you can find model planes, pilot’s epaulettes, aviation books, posters and wings.
