Sharon Moore reclaims the love songs you’ve no business singing ’til you’re over 40!
One of Brisbane’s most versatile singers presents stories and songs of non-compliance, toying with the many ways a woman of the world might choose to break the rules of love.
Can life and love actually get better with age? Are we still flying from the chandeliers at 60?
Join Sharon and Trevor Jones (Musical Director) as they explore the complexities of mature love and its at times heartbreaking or hysterical solutions. With a combination of Jazz, Operetta, Musical Theatre and pop (re-imagined) they delve into the repertoire of love, its youthful ideals and what happens to it in long relationships.
In this adult fantasy world we invite the songs of Nancy Wilson, Yma Sumac, Eartha Kitt, Jason Robert Brown, Freddie Mercury and others to tell these stories and take back the songs from those who are just too young to sing them.
Martinis and Tango may be involved!
