Sunshine Coast and Noosa Expressions of Interest

Develop and present your work with Anywhere Festivals

Thanks to the support of Sunshine Coast Council, Anywhere Festivals are announcing an exciting new project called Supported by Anywhere Festivals.

Expressions of interest are now open for performance makers, creatives and groups on the Sunshine Coast to develop and present  performances and events anywhere with the support of Anywhere Festival in the second half of 2024 onwards into 2025.

We want to make projects happen anywhere but a theatre. Anywhere Festivals Presents will provide the mentorship, producing knowledge, resources, marketing and technical gear to make your project a reality and take it to another level.

The project is open to performances makers of any genre based in the Sunshine Coast region.

What support do I get?

Successful applicants can choose what they need and we will advise what we feel you need with the following all being provided at no cost, including:

  • Creative Producer Support and mentorship at any stage of the project.
  • Support to connect with council, businesses and residential homes to broker non traditional venue locations for your performance
  • Our internationally acclaimed guide to producing as a pdf and videos, including templates to produce a show from beginning to end.
  • Usage of our technical gear including portable power, lighting desks, lighting, sound gear, cabling, location banners and front of house equipment (including Square devices)
  • Use of our entirely free box office system to sell tickets (ie. no inside box office percentage)
  • Marketing through our existing audience of Sunshine Coast and Noosa audiences

Expressions of interest are evaluated in the order they are received and we have a limit to the number of projects we can support.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for performance makers and event organisers of any genre - theatre, music, comedy, circus, dance, immersive, participatory, poetry, film -  who want to develop and present their work in non traditional spaces.

We are looking for people and projects where we can make a real difference to the success of your project.

We are looking for projects that use local spaces with local voices.

We are looking for projects that look outside the box and for performance makers and producers that want to up their skills and networks, push the envelope and create experiences we all want to be part of.

We are looking for ideas and stories that you are passionate about.

The Final Bit

Expressions of Interest are evaluated in the order they arrive and there is a limit to the number of projects we can support.
The Expression of Interest process is simple:
1. Apply here. There is no cost or fee to express interest or on acceptance and you can express interest more than once with different ideas
2. We get back to you to invite you with an offer you can accept or reject to work towards your projectl.
