Written and performed by poets India Nicholls and Simon Kindt, ‘The Name / For a Drowned Love’ examines two separate yet parallel narratives, performed to an evocative soundscape created by audio engineer Sam Steensen. Each perspective mirrors relatable archetypes within relationships, exploring identity, loss, and what comes after.  Tickets are $12 per person and the show will run on the 10th and 17th of May.

This show is ideal for lovers of page poetry, spoken word and theatre. It’s also a great excuse to go to a bar and drown your post-breakup sorrow. A chapbook copy of the poems performed in the show will be available.

Writer and performer Simon Kindt has previously published several verse novels, such as the post-apocalyptic ‘No Revelation’ and ‘wreck / age’ in collaboration with Bill Moran. His poetry can be found at http://simonkindt.com/. India Nicholls has appeared in poetic theatre shows such as ‘The Ghosts We Share’, has featured at Raw Poet Roar and has performed her poetry as part of Underground Productions Playground Arts Festival. Her poetry can be found at http://indiarenee.com.au/ .

‘The Name /  For a Drowned Love’ will be an unmissable poetic and audio-visual experience. It could be exactly the catharsis you need.
