ANYWHERE FESTIVAL MEDIA RELEASE JULY 2015
Part myth, part punkrock biology class, part love letter to the Melbourne music scene, EXIT EVERYTHING is an hallucinatory journey into the underworld. Death is imagined and the rock star myth indulged and everyone is searching for the unattainable. Bridget has wanted to be a rock star since she was a little girl. Now she’s all grown up and the closest she’s got is fucking some musicians and buying a leather jacket. Georgie’s cat and Grandmother both died, and their deaths sucked. Georgie is doing everything she can to prepare for death. Are you ready for yours?
Written and performed by Bridget Mackey (KINDNESS) and Georgie McAuley (KIDS KILLING KIDS) and performed in Frankston’s iconic music retailer, Guitar Village, EXIT EVERYTHING features live music by local musician Andrew Dalziell (NAUSEA). This new Australian play directed by Fleur Kilpatrick (THE CITY THEY BURNED) is a collision of obsession, fantasy and our desire to know the truth – all in the space between soundcheck and gig.
