Redlight Distancing. Part Human art gallery, part sideshow, part performance art.
Directed & produced by David Carberry
Utilizing a series of windows facing the street on the corner of Vulture and Exeter streets in West End, a stellar cast of 8 performing artists from various fields will live inside these rooms to be observed from the outside.
As humans we have all recently been locked away, for performing artists their stage personas have too been couped up, put on the shelf, or locked in a suitcase.
Performers love to be watched, but in this time our stage personas have been locked away, what have our alter egos been up too, how do they feel now, what have they been through.
This is a chance to observe the artist in a response to now.
Featuring: Natano Fa’anana, Lauren Watson, David Carberry, Jacqueline Furey, Janet Talle, Alice Muntz, Pixie Rust, Riley Colquist
This project is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
Special instructions: Pay what you can. Show runs for two hours and you can watch for as short as long as you want.
