Highway of Lost Hearts

Presented by Minola Theatre

A woman. A dog. A car. And 4,500kms of wide open road.

What would you do if your heart went missing?

Mary Anne Butler’s play Highway of Lost Hearts tells the story of Mot, a woman who drives 4,500km through the outback with only her dog by her side, searching for the heart that seems to have disappeared from her chest.

Travelling through the broken-hearted landscape of central Australia, she meets a suite of characters both cruel and kind, all in search of their own missing pieces.

Directed by Kat Dekker and performed by Bianca Butler Reynolds, this one-woman show paints a moving portrait of grief, human frailty and the power of resilience.

This production has been licensed through the Australian Script Centre.
