Likely Story is a play for those that love literature, whether your tastes lie in Poe or Self-Help books, this show features them all.
One dark and stormy night, Antonio – the Italian cook book runs into Richard – the straightlaced Dictionary, both being summoned by a note from a mysterious A. Youcan – the motivational novel, Dan and Ann – the rhyming couplet, Tory – the History textbook and the lovable Inni yet always overlooked, Instruction Manual appear on the scene in a confused state.
All is revealed when Aggie – the Mystery novel rolls out a shredder and demands justice for the bad state literature is in currently and isn’t afraid to shred some light on the situation (pun intended). It’s a little comic, it’s a little dramatic and there are lots of puns, both good and bad. You and your-shelf will not want to skim the pages of this one.
Written and directed by Riette de Jager
