An original dramatic work with music about Hildegard and Volmar, written by Amanda Cole in conjunction with award-winning Australian author and librettist, Alison Croggon.
PRINT PROGRAM CORRECTION: The Solothurn Chapel Performance on Sat 25 May is 3pm – not 6pm.
Cole sings some of Hildegard’s original music and with Kim Kirkman creates an innovative musical fabric to illustrate the fascinating story of one of history’s most inspiring women.
One side of the story that is rarely told is her relationship with the monk, Volmar. Join us in this exploration of mentorship and mutual regard, rivalling that of the contemporaneous Héloise and Abelard.
