THANK YOU FOR EXPERIENCING THE 2021 ANYWHERE FESTIVAL
The tenth Anywhere Festival took temporary possession of everyday and extraordinary places to present an intimate discovery of places and performances over May 2021.
Independent performers presented an astounding 755 performances of 137 productions in the nooks and crannies of Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Noosa and Moreton Bay.
According to the performance makers, 102 productions would not have been possible without Anywhere Festival providing support, marketing and the ability to present and adapt during COVID regardless of the restriction levels with adaptable non traditional performance venues.
Circus in gyms, comedy in underground reservoirs, Shakespeare in backyards, storytelling at ferry stops and on trams, gigs on rooftops, virtual reality and magic in warehouses, dance in churches, sleuthing in heritage homes. Performances. Anywhere.
Anywhere Festival will return May 2022.
The Anywhere Awards were announced on Saturday 29 May 2021. All the details here.
