The 2023 Anywhere Awards celebrate the shows, locations and people that embrace the Anywhere ethos of performance in nooks and crannies anywhere done with ambition and clarity of idea and implementation.

Shows that entertain, that engage, that explore and break down the traditional approaches to performances, shows with relevant and refreshing takes on topics and ideas.

The awards are based on reviewer, industry and Anywhere Festival team feedback, but most importantly on audience feedback in the voting forms.

The number of votes is also important and as always, we factor in the capacity of a show so that an amazing show with a capacity of twenty people is considered equally with an amazing show with a capacity of four hundred people.

Weekly awards were revealed following each week of the festival in Moreton Bay and Brisbane and weekly winners are eligible for the remaining Anywhere Awards.

Voting for all Anywhere Awards closes Sunday 11 June.

Nominees announced Wednesday 14 June

All Anywhere Awards to be announced at the Anywhere Awards and Festival Wrap Event on Saturday 24 June

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we present Anywhere Festival, the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi, Jinibara, Turrbal and Yuggera Peoples. We wish to pay respect to their Elders - past, present and emerging - and acknowledge the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their stories continue to play.
