The Girl on the Moon

Teenage life is small, condensed in the bubble of the Brisbane CBD. Until of course, a strange girl arrives on your doorstep with a getaway car and a spirit to defy your ‘should-shouldn’t’ life. A new Aussie coming-of-age story.

5 May 2022 - 8 May 2022

Presented by:

Aoife Kissane and Matias Nuñez and Anywhere Festival

Teenage life is small, condensed in the bubble of the Brisbane CBD. Until of course, a strange girl arrives on your doorstep with a getaway car and a spirit to defy your ‘should-shouldn’t’ life.
This one-act play uncovers the domestic struggles of high school drop-out Robyn, facing her father’s rapid depressive decline, alongside reviving an abandoned car with her new best friend, Pluto.
Yeronga’s unique legacy space, The Paint Factory, is intimately transformed into the inner-city apartments of three characters, each confronting freedom, love, loss, and the mess of holding on too tight.
