Somewhere in the Light

In an intimate evening of music and archival art, a songwriter and a cellist weave moving tributes and stories to acknowledge the inevitability of loss and to remember.

4 June 2022 @ 7:00 pm

Presented by:

Mira Chorik and Gillian Love and Anywhere Festival

In an intimate evening of music and archival art, a songwriter and a cellist weave moving tributes and stories to acknowledge the inevitability of loss.

The artists wonder out loud what it is to remember well, and to honour the gifts we carry from those who are no longer present. There will be light refreshments after the event and a gentle invitation to share remembrances in a participatory artwork. You are warmly invited into a space of rest, silence and contemplation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Contains themes of loss, death, dying and suicide. Parental guidance recommended. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are advised this event contains names and images of deceased people.

“Every loving thought you have will find me somewhere in the light.”
– Tony Rowe, songwriter.
