First dates have their challenges. The nerves, what to wear, what to eat, how to escape a wildlife poacher with a knife and easily ruffled feathers.
The poacher also happens to be Beth and Sam’s best chance of finding their way out of the leech infested rainforest.
Sam suggested the hike, so she feels partly responsible for this disaster of a date. But how was she to know they would get lost? Or that Beth doesn’t actually like the great outdoors? Or that maybe they should have learned more about each other, or anything really, before their first date?
