In 1940’s China, a young playwright comes up against a government censor…
Adapted from the Japanese screenwriter and director Yuki Mitani’s work “The University of Laughs”, this tragic-comedy pushes the boundaries of contemporary theater, articulating a uniquely eastern expression that resembles the themes and structure of ‘Romeo and Juliet’.
Referred to by The British Times as “the most advanced comedy in the world today”, The Last Laugh is sure to excite, entertain and intrigue.
As the most anticipated theatre troupe in Australia, Do Theatre along with ENE World, will travel from Tasmania to bring this hilarious comedy to Brisbane. Bilingual subtitles (English & Chinese) will also be provided during the show.
