Presented by Crea Arena Artistry and Anywhere Festival.
What happens when a beach getaway turns into a living hellscape?
When Quinn finds an injured seagull a friendship between her and two siblings named Andrew and Maddison begins to form. Everything is perfect, they start bonding with each other, drinking and laughing until the sun goes down. However, things start to change when a fourth person is introduced. Fiona. Fiona doesn’t trust this friendship and they don’t trust her. As the days continue things just get worse and worse for all these characters. The beach is getting hotter, no one is getting along and, oh? Whatever happened to the the seagull?
Crea Arena Artistry plans on deconstructing the teen movie drama and give it a fresh, dark theatrical twist through Last Summer. Last Summer plans on Taking traditional troupes you may see such as a positive makeover and transforming it into something more grim and sinister. When people are left alone on an inescapable beach, the vultures come out to play and the fictional characters archetypes that you think you know from movies, become a dark reality.
This performance is held at a gorgeous riverside beach located next to River Room Cafe in Hamilton.
