DISAPPEARING ACTS delivers special, intimate, circus performance directly to you, in local parks, and green spaces across our neighbourhood.
Unfortunately, the 2.30pm and 4.30pm performance on Sunday 15 May has been cancelled due to ongoing rain. All ticket purchasers have been contacted to another performance at Morningside or Moorooka or request a refund.
Join this adventure and discover the green corners of your city you don’t know so well. A vehicle arrives, a performance tumbles out and you are engaged in brilliant compact circus for post-pandemic times. Investigating the fragility of our landscapes in the face of human impacts,
Disappearing Acts explores loss of biodiversity through circus, clowning, and magic sleight of hand.
Developed in collaboration with environmental scientist, Ayesha Tulloch, Disappearing Acts unpacks the scientific principal of testing questions and building evidence to assess what might be missing from our landscapes. It is quirky and skilled circus performance that asks us to reflect on our relationship with nature, how we value the birds, insects, trees and wild spaces that support them.
Find a setting that suits your location or adventurousness, and book in for your Circus Delivery.
There are two possible deliveries, so you can come back to your favourite venue, or pick a new adventure, to see them both.
Consignment 1 with performers Abbey Church and Jodie Rottle
Consignment 2 with performers Mayu Muto and Phoebe Manning
