THE BRISBANE MONTEVERDI ENSEMBLE presents a program spanning almost 1000 years, following a famous Gregorian chant named ‘Da Pacem Domine’ (‘Give peace, o Lord’) through a wide range of composers including Schutz, Gesualdo, and Pärt. Featuring historical replica instruments of the 16th and 17th centuries, this intimate concert will trace how one melodic idea can be transformed through a number of interpretations.
