Presented by Electric Moon and Anywhere Festival
A darkly forensic music salon series.
Bringing together four of Brisbane’s most acclaimed vocalist/performers, BLACKLIGHT SESSIONS investigates, reinterprets and uncovers the music and songs of an eclectic and startling array of iconic artists. Stripped back arrangements, a deep love of the material, surprising musical re-imaginings. and a strict 30-minute set limit each forms the brief for these artists to present and explore the absolutely essential songs of their chosen songwriters.
Carefully curated and hosted by Electric Moon’s James Lees, BLACKLIGHT SESSIONS follows on from the acclaimed BLACKLIGHT series staged at The Junk Bar throughout 2019.
Presented in a beautiful, iconic Brisbane home, BLACKLIGHT SESSIONS will feature these four artists uncovering:
Karl S. Williams > Leonard Cohen
Lucinda Shaw > Gary Numan
Josh Daveta > Portishead
Mia Goodwin > Julee Cruise
