Giant extinct birds, violins and electronica collide…
Join Nonsemble amongst the fossils and remnants of the Queensland Museum’s Lost Creatures exhibition for Archaeopteryx, a cycle of music for string quartet and electronics inspired by giant extinct birds.
With the help of curators from Queensland Museum, Nonsemble have created a unique and immersive performance exploring themes of transcendence and environmental change inspired by scientists’ depictions of long-extinct majestic winged creatures.
Doors to this event will open one hour before the scheduled performance time. Refreshments will be available for purchase and patrons are encouraged to view the Lost Creatures exhibition before the performance begins.
Nonsemble acknowledges the support of the University of Queensland as an Affiliate Ensemble of the UQ School of Music.
