We are a group of diverse individuals who love making music without the pressure of perfection. PRIME was originally formed in 1999 as “Pine Rivers Instrumental Music Ensemble (PRIME).” At the time the members included parents and past parents of Strathpine West State School. Today, the group has expanded to incorporate adult musicians from the local community. PRIME caters for the emerging adult player to the more experienced player. We meet Thursday nights for rehearsal at Strathpine West State School. We arrive prior to 7.30pm to assist with the set of the band and commence at 7.30pm.
We play a range of songs with the majority of our repertoire consisting of well known tunes. We generally perform 4/5 times during the year with our venues consisting of Retirement Villages, Aged Care/Disability Care Facilities, Community Events (such as Anywhere Festival) and School Fetes.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we present Anywhere Festival, the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi, Jinibara, Turrbal and Yuggera Peoples. We wish to pay respect to their Elders - past, present and emerging - and acknowledge the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their stories continue to play.
