Anywhere Festival wrap up Driveway July home driveway performances across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast in time for Brisbane Festival’s Street Serenade.

Over July, Anywhere Festival performances reached from Durack to Peregian Beach with Sunshine Coast performances of DATE WITH A DIVA continuing on the Sunshine Coast into August.

CIRCUS DELIVERY, a circus show delivered by Vulcana Circus on the back on an old ute or on a disco themed segway, visited 46 different driveways in 32 suburbs and towns through Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast over July alone as part of Driveway July.

“We’re really happy that we were able to find a way to enable local independent performers to present shows in person while regular venues were closed, ” said Paul Osuch, Founder of Anywhere Festival.

“People brought their friends and family around to enjoy performances in their driveways and backyards and all the performances were booked out. That’s what Anywhere Festival has been about for the last ten years – presenting performances anywhere, COVID-19 or not.”

Anywhere Festival’s sold out season is also a good sign for Brisbane Festival who have just announced Street Serenade for September.

“I’m glad we’re inspiring other festivals and organisations to realise what they can do if they think outside the box in a way that is great for independent artists. I’m expecting we will see much more happening over the coming months across Australia and if it enables independent artists to get paid and perform and audiences to enjoy performances then it’s all good,” said Paul.

Head to for the remainder of Anywhere Festival’s program outside three May slot including Twelfth Night in the Noosa Botanical Gardens, Chat & Chow Mukbang in a Coorparoo house, Date With A Diva in Sunshine Coast driveways with a special Buderim performance, Begotten listen on demand, This Car Is GoIng To Crash in a Brisbane car park, Cluedo The Interactive Game at a unique valley bar and For The Record at The Bearded Lady.

Anywhere Festival will be making an announcement later in the year about the return of the May Anywhere Festival for 2021.
