Their appearance at the Anywhere Theatre Festival is their last performance before travelling to Wollongong to compete in a national women’s a cappella competition.  In 2015 they placed first in the small chorus division.

These women create music with just their voices, their energy, and their hearts.  They are a community brought together by their love of harmony singing, and their passion for this artform is evident in their energised performances.

‘We are like family, and singing together brings us closer,’ Musical Director Rose McGee said.

‘And we love to share our joy with audiences as often as we can.’

The chorus members range in age from 25–70, are from all walks of life, and they are love to put on a show.

‘We recently opened out doors to welcome 30 women to sing with us for a few weeks, to learn some songs with us and sing in our International Women’s Day show,’ Rose said. That show was a great success—nearly 200 people came along to hear us—and we’re hoping to have the chance to share our music more widely again at the Anywhere Festival.

‘A Cappella Groove on 8th May will have something for everyone, from Broadway favourites to pop hits, world music, and classic Australiana.  All you need to add for a perfect Mother’s Day afternoon is a picnic blanket and snacks!’
